26 Jan A New Scholarship Program
The mission of Wounded Warriors of Collier County (WWCC) is to assist with the needs of Veterans and their families with the focus on housing, mental health and education. The vision of WWCC is to see that no Veteran is left behind.
Over the past seven years, we have funded scholarship programs for Veterans attending two local universities: Hodges University and Ave Maria School of Law. We have also been investigating opportunities for more inclusion and programs with more diversity in scholarship opportunities.
Partnering with the Community Foundation of Collier County, we have funded a scholarship program for Veterans or their children living exclusively in Collier County. The scholarship can be used for undergraduate or graduate level courses, as well as vocational or certificate courses. WWCC intends to fund four $2,500 scholarships annually. More information on the specifics of the scholarship can be found at www.cfcollier.org. This link will take you directly to the Wounded Warriors scholarship program.
Applications for upcoming scholarship opportunities must be completed by February 14, 2022. The application form can be found in the link above.
While we recognize the window of opportunity for this year is closing fast, we did not want wait until later this fall this to launch this exciting opportunity for our local Veterans and children.
