Ave Maria School of Law

Ave Maria School of Law is committed to honoring our nation’s veterans through several campus programs and initiatives.

  • Veterans Scholarships: We provide VA Yellow Ribbon eligible veterans the opportunity to earn their law degree at no cost through a combination of their VA benefits and an Ave Maria School of Law matching scholarship.
  • Veterans Law Clinic: Our proposed Ave Maria School of Law Veterans Clinic will give our students the opportunity to help veterans with much needed assistance to secure disability benefits and other consumer legal issues. All legal services are provided pro-bono.
  • Veterans Memorial Law Library: Our law library will provide the legal research information necessary to assist the Veterans Law Clinic. Veterans Clinic Offices will be located in the library.

Florida has the third largest population of veterans in the nation with more than 1.5 million veterans. Our mission is to serve veterans in Southwest Florida with dignity and to provide legal assistance. Ave Maria School of Law has a long tradition of honoring our military veterans. We are proud of our students and alumni who are veterans, three JAG officers who have had leadership roles in the law school, together with our Founder, a Marine veteran and several members of the Board of Governors.
